The American Red Cross is an organization built upon the unwavering spirit of the American people.
The willingness of the people of the American Red Cross to accept the challenges confronting a fast changing society has brought about an explosion of social services from disaster relief to blood services, from first aid programs to swimming lessons to assistance programs for the elderly to pandemic education. We are an organization that is always prepared, yet constantly reviewing the needs of the community and seeking innovative ways to meet them.

It’s easy to be a HERO for the American Red Cross!

The HEROES Campaign is an exciting, four-week, community based fundraiser in March 2010 that supports the life-saving programs and services of the American Red Cross serving Muskegon, Oceana and Newaygo Counties.
Here’s how it works:
- Local residents volunteer to be Red Cross HEROES. Each HERO pledges to raise and/or donate $1,000 for the local Red Cross.
- HEROES can raise their contributions in their own creative way—by holding bake sales or car washes, collecting donations from friends or family, or by simply donating personal funds.
- The campaign kicks off with a breakfast and at the end of the campaign, HEROES, recruiters, co-chairs are recognized for their contributions to the work of the Red Cross at the celebration event.
Participating in the HEROES Campaign is a great way to help your Red Cross meet its commitment, both now and in the future. All donations support Red Cross programs and services.
