Our babysitter training courses are periodically offered through White Lake Community Education at sites north of Muskegon. You can call (231) 766-3001 for current listings.

Chapter Education Class Schedule

CPR & First Aid
Included in the full scheduled session:
Adult CPR Skills - Responding to an emergency, choking, rescue breathing, signs of a heart attack, AED's, and CPR;
Infant/Child CPR Skills - choking, rescue breathing, CPR
First Aid Skills - bandaging, splinting and what to do for many sudden illnesses

NOTE: Due to the important information covered in the Adult session, the entire CPR class must be taken to receive an Infant / Child certification. Full class $70, CPR only $60, Adult only $50, First Aid only $50, Bloodborne Pathogens added at $15 each, $6 off if you have current book.

Two part classes: First date is adult CPR and the second is infant & child CPR and First Aid.
Saturday classes include all CPR and First Aid in one session (those needing First Aid only would attend the last two hours of the class),

CPR Review
This is a shortened version of the Adult, Infant and Child CPR course. It is designed for individuals who already possess a current CPR card that is due to expire. Please bring your card to class or at time of registration. CLASS FEE: $50

CPR for the Professional Rescuer
This class is for professional rescuers, firefighters, nurses, EMT?s, lifeguards and others needing advance training. Pocket Mask required. CLASS FEE: $75.00

Babysitter Training Classes
This class teaches youth 11 to 15 years of age injury prevention, basic care of children, first aid and leadership skills needed to be a responsible babysitter. Class fee: $50 includes snack (bring a sack lunch)

CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor Course
This class is for anyone interested in becoming a CPR Instructor to teach people in settings such as work, church, for the Red Cross, or other Community organizations. You must hold current CPR and First Aid Certification. This is a 16 hour course. Cost is $175.00
CURRENT JANUARY 2010 THROUGH MARCH 2010 SCHEDULE TIME
Friday, January 8 & Monday, January 11 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Friday, March 12 & Monday, March 15 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Bloodborne Pathogen Class or AED Certification
*The listed classes can be combined with the CPR and First Aid class for an additional $15. If you would like the class separately please call for schedule information.

 
Class Policies

  1. Pre-registration and payment is required before the start of any class. Click Here For Registration Form ....
  2. Cancellations made by the Red Cross due to weather, illness etc. will be made as soon as possible and students will have the option of taking the next available class or receiving a refund.
  3. Classes must have a minimum of 6 students. Classes with low enrollment will be cancelled and the above written policy is in effect.

 

The American Red Cross offers scholarships for our courses based on need. Call the Health and Safety Director at (231) 720-4238 for more information

 

IF YOU CALL to reschedule a class you have paid for less than 24-hours prior to the start of the class, there will be a $10 rescheduling fee for your new class--payable in advance.

REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS who miss class without notification are not eligible for a refund of their class fee.

CHECKS RETURNED to us for insufficient funds will incur a $35.00 fee. Registration will be held until all fees clear.

We are located at the corner of Third Street and Webster Avenue at 313 W. Webster Avenue Muskegon, MI 49440. Parking is available behind the building.
