Disaster Training Schedule
Dear American Red Cross Disaster Volunteer:
All ESS training is available free to our volunteers. By taking these courses you will become eligible for deployment on local and national disasters.
All new volunteers are required to attend The American Red Cross Volunteer Orientation. If you have not taken an orientation before, contact Denise in Volunteer Services, at 720-4237, to schedule one soon. Standard First Aid (SFA) and Adult CPR are recommended for all Disaster Services Responders. SFA is recommended once every three years. CPR is recommended every year.
If you would like to attend any of our Disaster Training classes, please contact Disaster Response (231) 720-4243, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM for more information and the current schedule.
Please remember, "Introduction to Disaster Services" is a prerequisite for all other classes. This class is a self-study and can be taken online at www.redcross.org. You may take this class at home or at the Red Cross chapter office. "Fulfilling Our Mission" is also a prerequisite to all other classroom training except for CPR/First Aid.
Please feel free to pass this information on to a friend. We sincerely thank you for being willing to help the American Red Cross respond in times of need.
