America's Beacon of Hope

The American Red Cross serving Muskegon, Oceana and Newaygo Counties is proud to be the host of the 2002 Michigan Red Cross State Conference October 3 - 4, 2002. The Muskegon Harbor Holiday Inn will be the site of the Annual Conference which draws hundreds of Red Crossers (paid staff and volunteers) from around the state.

This year's theme is "America's Beacon of Hope." The Conference kickoffs with lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2002 followed by the opening session at The Frauenthal Center presented by Jeff Keller; President of Attitude is Everything, Inc. Attendees can choose from several afternoon sessions and end their day with an evening beach party. A full day of activities is planned for Friday including breakfast, lunch speakers, several breakout sessions and concluding with the Annual Awards Banquet and Auction.

Registration fees are $75 for the entire Conference, which includes all sessions and meals. A special one-day registration for volunteers is being offered on Friday, October 4, 2002 for a fee of $25 that includes breakfast, lunch, and two conference sessions. However, all are invited to attend the Conference Opening Session: America's Beacon of Hope free of charge at the Frauenthal Center, on Thursday, October 3, 2002 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
